HSBC India, among the top 5 in the 'BT- Mercer Best Companies to Work for in India' 2008 Study.

The article highlights the Flexible Working Arrangement (FWA) at HSBC, launched two years ago, based on feedback from employees. The FWA provides an innovative platform which helps the bank retain top talent. Almost 30 per cent of the bank's workforce in India, are working through this arrangement.

HSBC’s gained from their employee engagement, which went even beyond office hours, helping the bank score high in parameters like internal employees perception and HR process & policies. The ranking has improved over the past BT-Mercer surveys—from 6th in 2005, to 10th in 2006 and to 4th in 2008. The bank is also the only financial services brand in the top 10.

HSBC India also strives for higher benchmarks, and the high scores in many HR surveys does not stop it from its task of improving further on performance management, according to the magazine survey.
