HSBC Bank Armenia To Provide Online & Telephone Services In 2009

HSBC Bank Armenia will keep making large-scale investments in technology, the bank's service says. HSBC plans to offer online and telephone banking services, allowing customers to choose between branches, ATMs, internet-and-telephone banking services.

Established on September 25, 1995, HSBC Bank Armenia is a joint venture between the HSBC Group, which has a 70% ownership, and members of overseas Armenian businesses. The bank has 10 branches in Yerevan. As of December 31, 2008, the bank's assets totalled 121.8bln drams and the bank's net profit reached 3.9bln drams. HSBC Bank Armenia is a leader in the foreign exchange market. The bank has 43 ATMs and 10 branches with its head office in Yerevan.
