  • Bank of the Year: IFR Asia said on the premise of the Bank of the Year Award: "The credit crisis has amply demonstrated the wisdom of HSBC's perspective"
  • Bond House and Domestic Bond House of the Year: Of its prominence in the Asian bond markets, IFR Asia said: "The bank did excel in particular in the awards period as a bond house. HSBC benefited from an increase in business due to its stable and very local business model"
